Trauma Reframed Counseling is not a crisis counseling center. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or go to your local emergency room for evaluation.

A Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas has obtained the appropriate Master's Degree in Counseling, has passed the National Counseling Exam, and has met all other state requirements in place at the time of their initial licensure. An LPC-Associate may only conduct counseling under the supervision of a state-approved LPC Supervisor (LPC-S) and must earn 3,000 hours of post graduate training and experience in order to become a fully licenced LPC.

To schedule your first appointment, click on the "New Client Request" button on the Home page and follow the instructions. We will respond to your request within two business days.
Once we schedule your first appointment, you will receive an email notification to sign on to the portal to review our practice documents and complete the intake form. Please note that all paperwork must be completed in order to confirm your appointment. If you desire to cancel your first session after reviewing the documents, you may easily do so via the client portal. If you have questions about the paperwork, you may send us a secure message via your client portal.
After completing the online paperwork, it is suggested that you schedule additional appointments to ensure the continuity of your care. You may easily cancel these appointments online without charge if you do so at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. You will receive an appointment reminder via email and/or text (based on your selection when you complete the paperwork) 1 to 3 days prior to your appointment.

Our counselors are in session most of the day. Therefore, messages may not receive a response until the following business day. Existing clients may contact their counselor via the secure messaging feature of the client portal. New clients may request information by clicking on the "New Client Request" button on the home page and following the instructions.

The security of your information is important to us. Your information is maintained in the client portal that you will access with the email address you use as a new client. Each member of a couple or family must have their own unique email address in order to request appointments and access their individual portal and paperwork. You may maintain your appointment schedule and view documents sent by your counselor via your client portal.

During your first appointment, your counselor will go over the information you signed and answer any questions you may have. The counselor will gather information about your history, your reason for seeking counseling, and your desired counseling goals. The counselor may also administer assessments as deemed helpful. Based on that information, your counselor will make suggestions regarding further treatment options.

Counseling sessions are 50 minutes in duration.
Fees for counseling sessions with Betsie Chamberlain, LPC-Associate, varies from $80-$110.

Betsie Chamberlain, LPC-A, sees a limited number of adolescents. Most adolescents and children are referred to other treatment providers.

Trauma Reframed Counseling currently offers Telehealth sessions as long as they are are deemed to be beneficial to the client.

Trauma Reframed Counseling is considered out of network with insurance companies and does not accept insurance as payment. Therefore, you will be required to make payment at the time of your session. All clients are required to provide credit card information as part of the new client paperwork. Payment for your session will be charged to your card on file at the beginning of your session. If you prefer to pay by cash, please bring the exact amount due. Our counselors do not carry cash and are unable to make change. A receipt that includes all information necessary to file for reimbursement with your insurance company will be accessible to you through the client portal, should you decide to submit a claim for reimbursement. Clients are responsible for contacting their insurance company to determine eligibility and reimbursement amounts for out of network providers if they plan to seek reimbursement.

There is a waiting area immediately inside the front door. Please take a seat and your counselor will come and get you at your appointment time. If the front door is locked, please wait in your car and your counselor will meet you at the entry at your appointment time.
